Just one dedicated ambulance is serving 300-thousand people in north County Dublin.

It's down to a delay in opening a HSE base in Lissenhall.

It was due open in Lissenhall last week but it's been delayed.

The €500k centre replaces an old facility on the same site, but it's claimed it doesn't have any tables, chairs, storage for equipment or beds for staff.

The HSE says its National Ambulance Service is serving the north of the county, but hasn't given a date for when the Swords facility will open.
