Gardai have received a number of calls from the public in response to an appeal for information about a baby found on a Rathcoole roadside.
The baby girl's been named Maria and has been cared for at the Coombe hospital since she was discovered on Friday.
Officers yesterday called on the child's mother to contact them and assured her she'd be treated with compassion.
Gardai have promised anonymity for the mother of the abandoned newborn.
Detectives also displayed a green Marks and Spencer bag, a black bag and a fleece throw that were similar to the items found with the baby.
