Planning permission's been granted for student accommodation in the north inner city.
Once constructed by GSA, the building on Brunswick Street will deliver 571 en-suite student rooms as well as shops and a supermarket.
Plans for developments in Dublin 8 and Dublin 1 are also in the pipeline as part of a €250M investment in student accommodation in the city over the next 5 years.
The New Mill on Mill Street will open in 2017 and will include a 400 bedroom development, while a 491 bed facility will be built at Kavanagh Court on Gardiner Street.
There are currently some 80,000 full time students studying in Dublin’s nine higher education institutions and a serious lack of purpose build accommodation for them.
Aaron Bailey, Development Director for GSA Dublin, said: “This latest approval signals real progress in our long-term plans for investment in the city."
