The number of patients on trolleys in Irish hospitals is still increasing.
Figures by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation for last month are up 26 percent on last year and 73 percent since April 2006.
Thirty five thousand patients were left on trolleys from January to April of this year, the highest number recorded for the 4 month period since records began.
