No Agreement in Northern Ireland Talks

All-night negotiations in Northern Ireland to resolve outstanding peace process issues; have failed to produce an agreement.

The 5 main parties have been trying to reach a deal concerning the past, parades and flags.

Talks chairman Dr Richard Haass says he has not managed to secure consensus on a final set of proposals.

But he's confident progress can still be made;

Meanwhile, the Tánaiste has expressed his disappointed that agreement was not reached by all the parties in Belfast this morning.

Eamon Gilmore says 'this is not a step back but rather a step not yet taken' and he says that step forward will have to be taken because people across society are demanding it.

Mr. Gilmore says he also recognises that significant progress has been made over a short period on the most difficult and contentious issues in the North
