You'll be able to renew your passport online from today.
The new service will only be available for adults renewing their passports. Children and first-time applicants will have to go through the usual process.

It's hoped the new facility will ease the pressure after unprecedented levels of applications. As of last week, there were 60,000 applications in the system.
The Online Passport Application Service, will be unveiled by Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan today and will allow adult Irish citizens renew their passports online from devices like PCs, tablets, or mobile phones via the department’s website.
