New Bridges Planned For Over Liffey

Three new bridges are planned for over the Liffey.

Its part of a plan to redevelop the docklands.

Its understood Dublin City Council will being searching for designers for at least one of two planned pedestrian bridges with work due to begin next year.

The other is a traffic bridge to connect Ringsend with the quays.

Plans for the structures had been in the works for several years but were put on hold when the financial crash happened.

The first bridge will be located between the East Link and the Samuel beckett bridge.

The pedestrian bridges will cost between 10 and 12 million each and could be completed within 4 years.
