Commemoration ceremonies are being held across the country today in honour of Irish men and women who lost their lives in war or on peace keeping missions.
Over three hundred members of the Defence Forces are involved in the main event at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
President Michael D Higgins and relatives of the 1916 leaders and the next of kin of those who died in service to our country will all be present.
