The murder of Lyra McKee has been described as an attack on Derry and an attack on the peace process.
The 29 year old journalist was shot dead during violent clashes in the city last night after police raided a number of houses in the Creggan area.
Petrol bombs were thrown, police vehicles set on fire and shots were fired.
The PSNI say it was a terrorist act and believe the New IRA may have been behind it.
