A man in his 20s has died following a crash in Tallaght.
It happened when a motorcyclist hit a lamp post at Homelawn Gardens at around 7.30pm.
He was rushed to Tallaght hospital but later pronounced dead.
Gardai say the motorbike involved in the incident was removed from the scene before they arrived.
A search of the area is continuing and officers are appealing for information.
