A missing man who Gardai had reportedly been searching the canal for has been found alive.
Stephen Sherlock went missing from the Pearse Street area on September 8th. A search had been launched with Gardai admitting they were concerned for his welfare.
Officers say the 31-year-old has been found safe and well.
In a statement Gardaí say they "wish to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter."
