President Micheal D. Higgins has signed the Water Services Bill into law.
In a statement from Aras an Uachtarain this afternoon, the President was said to have given careful consideration to all aspects of the Bill, and the submissions he received.
It follows a letter being sent to Michael D Higgins last week, calling for him not to sign the Water Services Bill into law, after it had passed a vote in the Dail and the Seanad.
