It's reported President Michael D Higgins hopes to spend a second presidential term in Áras an Uachataráin.
Government sources have told the Irish Times he'll declare his intentions in July.
2018 marks seven years since the 76 year old was elected president.
Michael D previously said he would indicate by September whether he intends to run again, with a presidential election due to take place by November.
Here's three reasons (in pictorial form) why the ninth president of Ireland might be one of the biggest legends ever.
