Don't pack away that winter-wear just yet!

It looks like we're in for a cold snap next week.

Met Éireann says the country's headed for a bitter Arctic u-turn within days.

It's been pretty mild for the past month - with temperatures today reaching 14 degrees.

That's how they're expected to remain until Tuesday.

But from mid-week we can expect wintry showers, bringing freezing temperatures.

There had been worries about a weather event that caused the Beast from the East in 2018 happening again soon.

Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly, says that won't be for another couple of weeks - if at all.
