Merrion Square West remains the most clamped area in Dublin.
Clamping fees has raised over 4 million euro last year for Dublin City Council.
According to the annual report of the Parking Appeals Officer, 56 thousand motorists were clamped last year with 5.4 percent appealing the fine.
Of the appeals one in four got a partial or full refund.
The report shows one person has been clamped 55 times over the past four years.
It comes as the appeals officer calls for the clamping fee to be upped from 80 to 130 euro, that's despite a proposed new bill which would put a cap on clamping charges.
Merrion Square West was still the most clamped area last year.
It was followed by Mespil Road, Ormond Quay Upper, Jervis Street and Wolfe Tone Street.
