Two men have appeared in court charged over a major drugs bust near Rathcoole.
One and a half million euro worth of heroin was seized during the operation.
10 kilos were found after two cars were stopped at a service station on the Naas Road yesterday as part of a joint operation between the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Customs.
The drugs have been sent to Garda Headquarters for analysis, but it’s believed they have a street value of €1.5m.
Four buildings in Dublin and Wexford were also searched as part of the operation.
40-year-old Joseph O’Neill, with an address at Clifden Terrace, Ballyermot appeared in court charged with drug dealing offences.
Vincent Halligan, a 32-year-old truck driver who lives at St. Annes Villas in Wexford, is facing the same charges.
Neither of them applied for bail today and they were both remanded in custody until next week.
