The Mark Pollock Run in the Dark is taking place in the city tonight. It plays a vital role in funding the The Mark Pollock Trust's mission to fast-track a cure for paralysis.
Our Ray Foley and Claire Solan will be taking part in the race and BIGRED will be on North Wall Quay for the event.
The run will take place from 8pm tonight. This is the route:
The following road closures will be in place:
The full 10k route will take place along North Wall Quay, Samuel Beckett Bridge, Sir John Rogerson Quay, Hanover Quay, Ringsend Rd and through Ringsend onto the Sean Moore Rd, then over the East Link toll bridge and back along North Wall Quay. There will be rolling road closures along the route during the race.
Customs House Quay will be closed from 7pm to 8pm as will North Wall Quay and Samuel Beckett Bridge from 8pm to 10pm. The East Link Toll Bridge will be closed northbound from 8pm until 9:10pm. Ringsend Rd outbound will be closed from 8pm to 8:30pm.
