A judge has decided to give a “first and last chance” to a man who beat his wife and locked her in their Dublin apartment with their baby boy.
Farhad Khorang of Aras Na Cluaine in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 admitted punching and biting her during a row in November 2014.
A passerby raised the alarm after she spotted the woman on a balcony calling for help.
The court heard she spent four days in a refuge before trying to withdraw her statement.
Today, Judge Martin Nolan fully suspended a 21 month sentence after the 37-year-old’s wife pleaded for him not to be jailed.
