A man has been jailed for life for strangling a woman to death at her home in Rathmines in Dublin over twenty years ago.
Foul play wasn’t suspected when Margot Seery was found dead in October 1994, but a murder investigation was launched last year after her killer came forward.
Her body was exhumed from a plot in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick and a fresh post mortem revealed she’d met a violent end.
41-year-old Howard Kelly of Osprey apartments in Naas, Co. Kildare told Gardai he just “flipped” and described it as a “completely unprovoked attack”.
