A 31-year-old man died after was hit by a car in Wicklow last night.
It happeed on the M11 at at Roscath at around 10:25pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The local Coroner was notified and the man’s body was removed to the mortuary at Loughlinstown Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Diversions are in place on the southbound carriageway of the M11 between Junctions 18 (Wicklow South) and 19 (Brittas bay). Northbound traffic is unaffected. The scene is preserved and Garda Forensic collision investigators have been notified to attend.
