Gardai are investigating an aggravated burglary at a flat in Ranelagh.
Two men entered the building on Charlestown Road at around 2am this morning.
They threatenend a man and then assaulted him.
They made off with a small amount of cash, a laptop and a watch.
The victim was taken to James hospital with an injury that is not life threatening.
Gardai at Rathmines are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
