Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a drive by shooting in Tallaght last night.
One man is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit in an attack at the Parkhill West area.
Two men who were sitting in a 06D blue Mazda were shot at a number of times by someone in a silver Passat.
It's not known how many people were in the car where the shots came from.
The driver of the first car was hit several times but managed to drive to Tallaght hospital where he's in a serious condition.
The Passat was discovered a short time later partially burned out at Benmadigan Road in Drimnagh.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They want to speak to anyone in the Parkhill West area of Tallaght between 8.15pm and 8.45pm.
They are also looking for information on a silver VW Passat registration 00-D-92403 seen at Parkhill West, or at Benmadigan Road, Drimnagh on Monday night.
