Gardai in Dublin city centre are appealing for information following a serious assault in the early hours of this morning.
A man has been charged in connection with a serious assault
that happened in Dublin this morning.
Gardai were called to the scene at the corner of D'Olier Street and Fleet Street at about 2.30am.
A man in his 20s was found with serious head injuries, and remains in a critical condition in St James' Hospital today.
A follow up operation was carried out, and a house searched under warrant in County Kildare - one person was arrested in connection with the attack.
The person who has been charged is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning.
