A manhunt's continuing this morning following the escape of a Cloverhill prisoner.
He made a run for it from a Bray court yesterday morning.
This dramatic bid for freedom happened at Bray Circuit Court at around 11 o'clock.
It's understood the man in his 20s was being remanded at Cloverhill Prison, but was involved in a case being heard at the Wicklow courthouse.
He was being led to a holding cell when he made his escape through a door.
Gardai are now searching for the fugitive, and the Prison Service has launched an investigation.
The escape comes as the Justice Minster promised anti-stab vests and pepper spray to protect prison guards from dangerous inmates.
