A man has been found guilty of murdering his colleague and flatmate at their apartment in Ballymun just over a year ago.

During Jacky Lumi's trial, the court heard how the two men moved in together after travelling from the Netherlands to take up jobs in north Dublin.

A friend of the accused said Jacky used to row openly with Kamal El Habsati about unpaid bills.

Jacky admitting fighting Kamal after switching off his broadband on Dec 1st 2012 and sticking a knife in his chest.

His housemate's body was found a few days later and a post mortem revealed he'd been stabbed 21 times.

After just under six hours of deliberations, the jury found Jacky guilty of murder today and he was handed down the mandatory life sentence.
