Man Fighting For His Life After Attack in Dublin

A man in his 20's has been left fighting for his life after a serious assault in Dublin.

It happened at around 4 o'clock this morning.

The young man suffered serious injuries as a result of this assault which was carried out at a pedestrian bridge, in Priorsgate, Saint Dominic’s road in Tallaght by a number of suspects.

He was taken from the scene to the Adelaide & Meath Hospital and later transferred to Beaumount where he remains in a critical condition.

A 23 years old man and 20 year old woman were arrested and are currently being held at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
