Man due in court this morning after death of man in Tallaght

A 20-year-man is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, charged in relation to the death of another 20-year-old man in Tallaght.

Dale Creighton died in hospital yesterday following a serious assault on New Year's Day.

Gardaí investigating the death of Dale Creighton have a number of arrests so far.

The 20-year-old was attacked at a pedestrian bridge at St Dominics Road in Tallaght in the early hours of the morning on January 1st.

He was rushed to the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, before being transferred to Beaumont, where he was on life support. Dale Creighton passed away yesterday.

Gardai have made eight arrests, one man has been released without charge.

Two people appeared in court yesterday charged with violent disorder.

23 year old Graham Palmer of Bolbrook Grove, and 20 year old Aisling Burke of Homelawn Road, both from Tallaght.

Four men are currently being detained at various Garda Stations in the South Dublin area under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

One male in his 20's is due to appear in court in the morning.
