A man in his 20's is to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court this evening charged with a number of alleged road traffic offences following a high speed chase in Dublin yesterday.
The charges relate to an incident during which a van failed to stop for Gardaí on Lockview Road in Clondalkin.
The van was followed by Gardaí before being abandoned in the south inner city area a short time later.
A male Garda was treated in hospital for injuries arising from the incident.
