A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a dad of one in Tallaght. Graham McKeever was stabbed to death earlier this year.
32 year old Graham McKeever - a dad of one - was found with stab wounds outside an apartment block in Deerpark Avenue in Tallaght in the early hours of the 18th of February. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
This morning , 39 year old Keith Connerton of Deerpark Avenue appeared before Tallaght District Court charged with his murder. Garda Kieran Kilcoyne told the court he arrested the accused at his home address at 7.37 this morning and brought him to Tallaght Garda Station. He said the accused made no reply after charge and caution.
There was an application for legal aid as the court heard Mr Connerton is on jobseeker’s allowance. Judge Bernadette Owens granted this.
As this is a murder charge, bail can only be sought in the High Court. Mr Connerton, who kept his head bowed and didn’t speak during the brief hearing, was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court this Friday.

Earlier, a garda statement wrongly stated a man was due in court in relation to the killing of Reece Cullen.
Gardai sent this notification in error and there is no court appearance in relation to Reece's death.
