A man in his mid 20's is in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being hit by a car in Wicklow overnight.
The pedestrian was struck on the Killarney road in Bray at around 1 O' Clock this morning.
He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin but later transferred to Beaumont where his condition is described as critical.
The road remains closed both ways approaching Bray town while a technical examination is carried out.
Gardai are at the scene and local diversions are in place.
