A Dublin man has been cleared of murdering his neighbour, but found guilty of obstructing the prosecution of his brother, who later admitted killing him.

Anthony Locke of Ramillies Road, Ballyfermot claimed he’d no choice but to help him clean the crime scene and hide the body.

Christopher Jackson’s body was found in a wardrobe at his apartment on Prussia St, Dublin 7 on September 8th 2012. It was wrapped in a duvet and covered with bin bags.

His girlfriend said he fell into their flat with a knife sticking out of his chest after answering the door to two men a few nights beforehand.

A post mortem found he was stabbed up to 70 times.

Anthony Locke went to Gardai and told them his brother Bernard killed Mr. Jackson and threatened to kill him “stone dead” if he didn’t help with the clean up.

He denied having any part in the killing, and after almost seven hours of deliberations, the jurors in his murder trial agreed.

However, they did find him guilty of impeding his brother’s apprehension or prosecution, and he’ll be sentenced for that in January.

Bernard Locke is already serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to murder last year.
