Suitcase Murder Accused Due Back in Court

A Finglas man is due back in court this morning in connection with the canal suitcase murder. Paul Wells from Barnamore Park was charged with Kenneth O’Brien’s murder last week.

The Ballyfermot dad-of-one went missing on the 15th of January from his Clondalkin home. The following day his dismembered body was found in a suitcase in the Grand Canal in Ardclough, Co. Kildare. More of his remains were found in further searches of the water in nearby Sallins.

Last Friday evening, 48 year old Paul Wells from Barnamore Park in Finglas appeared before the Dublin District court charged with Kenneths’s murder which is alleged to have happened at the accused’s address in or around the 15th or 16th of January.

Paul Wells was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Cloverhill District Court this morning,
