A man charged in connection with the seizure of €1m worth of cocaine at Dublin Port is due back in court this morning.
Last Saturday morning, 15 kilos of cocaine were found inside a truck shortly after it arrived at Dublin Port from the UK.
Maurice McCreesh of Main Street, Fork Hill in Newry, Co. Down was the only person in the truck.
He was arrested at the scene and has since been charged.
The drugs had a street value of €1m and Gardai say there was no attempt to conceal them.
Despite Garda objections, Mr. McCreesh was granted bail on Monday, but told he’d have to lodge €10k with the court before he could take it up.
The 37-year-old father of three was remanded in custody and is due back in court this morning.
