A man has been arrested in connection with a drugs seizure worth almost a quarter of a million euro in the West Dublin area.
This seizure took place just before 8.30 yesterday evening when Gardai from the Lucan/Ronanstown Drugs Unit carried out a planned search of a building in the Balgaddy area of Clondalkin.
The ecstasy tablets found were worth €225,000 and the prescription drugs were worth €4,000.
The man in his early forties was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.
He’s being held under Sec 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, which means he can be detained for up to seven days.
