A man has been arrested after a mother of four was abducted from her home in Co Longford yesterday.
The woman - who is in her late twenties - was forcibly removed from her home in Edgeworthstown just after four o'clock yesterday afternoon.
She had been looking after her four her children and three others at the time of the abduction - none of whom were injured.
Emergency services were called and a major search was launched. The woman was safely located early this morning.
In a follow up operation, a man in his mid twenties was arrested and is being detained at Granard Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
