A man's been arrested after locking two people into a room during an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Finglas this morning.
Gardai were alerted to the hold-up at Hampton Wood at around 7:30am.
They forced their way in and discovered a man wearing a balaclava and carrying a crowbar.
Following a struggle with officers, a man in his 40s was arrested and brought to Finglas garda station.
He can be held for up to 24 hours.
The workers, a man and a woman, were released and not physically harmed.
