Intel is spending 5 billion dollars in a major upgrade of its Irish base in Leixlip in Co Kildare.
That's ten times the amount announced in 2011, and 5 thousand people have been employed planning and building the redevelopment.
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny says it's the biggest ever private investment in the history of the country, as Intel celebrates its 25th anniversary in Ireland.
At the launch, he said it sends out a global message that Ireland is open for busines at the highest end of manufacturing.
