Luas track will begin being laid on O'Connell Street today.
Preparation works for the Cross City line have been ongoing since August.
The tracks will be welded into place on the median, with works on the roadway due to wrap up on November 27th to avoid disruption over Christmas.
However other works will continue north of the Spire.
