The man who played Noely in Love/Hate was back in court today where he was given another few days before he’s sent for trial.
Stephen Clinch is accused of pointing a loaded gun at a city centre hotel worker after allegedly stealing over €50,000 in May.
Stephen Clinch is best known as Fran’s rival Noely in Love/Hate, but in real-life, he’s before the courts for his alleged role in an armed robbery.
On May 11th, a gun was allegedly put to the head of a security worker at The Gate Hotel on Parnell Street.
The robbers made off with €50k but were intercepted as they tried to make their escape. The cash and a 9mm semi-automatic gun were seized.
Mr. Clinch has since been charged in connection with the robbery and he appeared in court again today. A book of evidence is ready but he’ll have to wait until Monday to have it served on him. Once that’s done, he’s likely to be sent forward for trial.
His co-accused Hugh McWeeney from Main St, Belmayne, Malahide Road is also before the courts.
