Love/Hate actor Stephen Clinch has appeared in court accused of stealing over €50,000 during an armed robbery at a city hotel two days ago.
Hugh McWeeney of Main Street, Belmayne, Malahide Road is facing the same charges.
Stephen Clinch of Millbrook Grove in Kilbarrack, played the role of Fran’s rival Noely in Love/Hate and will be remembered for knocking Fran’s front teeth out during a pub fight and a graphic prison rape scene in the season five finale.
Today, he appeared in court charged with robbing over 50 thousand euro during an armed raid at the Gate Hotel on Parnell Street on Monday morning.
The 43 year old is also accused of having a firearm with intent to commit a robbery.
His co-accused 48 year old Hugh McWeeney is facing the same charges.
He didn’t apply for bail today and is due back in court next week.
Gardai have objected to Clinch’s bail application which is due to be heard later this afternoon.
