Dublin’s Lord Mayor slammed thugs who attacked fire crews dealing with a blaze in Basin Street last night.
Criona Ni Dhalaigh was speaking after stones were thrown at Dublin Fire Brigade while they were trying to put out the bonfire.
It comes as the emergency services prepare for their busiest night of the year with over 600 calls expected from all over the city.
Chief Fire Office Pat Fleming says attacks on crews could have a knock on effect for the safety of Dubliners.
