Locals in Ballybough are going to the High Court to block elements of the redevelopment of Croke Park.
They're objecting to plans merge two cul-de-sacs into a through-route to the stadium.
In 2016 the GAA revealed its masterplan which includes a new match-day entrance into the stadium, a world class handball centre and the long-awaited redevelopment of Croke Park villas.
Sackville Avenue will be widened and seven derelict houses on Ballybough Road will be refurbished.
However four homeowners are taking a legal challenge to stop two cul-de-sacs being turned into a through road.
Local councillor Nial Ring says Ardilaun Square and Sackville Gardens near the canal are very quiet
"Six houses which were built in the 1850s, and which have up to now enjoyed a very quiet existence with absolutely no traffic, (the property owners) are worried there will be a lot of traffic going by there when it becomes a through road."
Lawyers for the four property owners have secured the right to challenge the opening up the laneway.
The case will return to the High Court on the 19th of February.
