Greyhound racing is coming back to Dublin this month.

According to Independent.ie, it'll resume at Shelbourne Park on Tuesday night after a vote took place among members of the Dublin Greyhound Owners and Breeders Association in Crumlin last night.

Racing hasn't taken place in the city since late February as a result of pickets outside the Ringsend venue in protest against the closure of Harold's Cross Stadium.

The pickets will be removed from the tracks and racing will resume on Tuesday night. Under the terms of the agreement worked out between the Irish Greyhound Board and the DGOBA, Tuesday and Friday meetings at Shelbourne will be regarded as 'Harold's Cross fixtures'.

The venue at Harold's Cross shut its doors unexpectedly early February, and the site has been sold to the Department of Education.
