A "plant-in" is taking place today at a community garden facing a threat of closure.
Locals who use the Weaver's Square Community Garden and Allotments in the Liberties are planting spring bulbs in the hope they'll get to see them flower.
One of the campaigners, Samantha McCaffrey, says green space is vital to the dense inner-city area.
"Obviously, we understand that it was a real visionary idea from Dublin City Council to build it with the community in the first place and we've been on a temporary lease for eight years," she said.
"We don't want squatters' rights or anything like that, but we just want to stay, because we think we're a really valuable community resource."
