A letting agent says it's got a landlord willing to rent a house to a homeless Tallaght woman - and accept rent allowance.

Sabrina McMahon and her three children have been living out of their family car in Tallaght for the past week.

The 36-year-old former dental nurse says she's been told there's a nine year wait for social housing, and can't find a landlord willing to take rent allowance.

Gina Quinn from Academy Walk Management & Lettings has been trying to contact Sabrina with an offer:

"Basically this landlord, as soon as he heard her circumstances this morning, he's quite happy to take herself and her three children in. We have a beautiful two bedroom apartment in the area of Tallaght where she's looking and he would be quite happy to accept rent allowance."

A local hotel has also offered Sabrina and her children a week's free accommodation.
