A jury has retired to consider whether a Finglas man murdered his uncle just before Christmas 2013.
Edward O’Connor died after being shot twice in the back while leaving a ‘straightener’ on the Ballycoolin Road.
His nephew, David Cully of Kilsane Road in Finglas, admits shooting him but claims he was provoked by something he said about his sister.
The jurors will have to decide if that defence applies.
