The jury in the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering a neighbour and hiding his body in a wardrobe has retired to consider a verdict.
Anthony Locke of Ramillies Road, Ballyfermot denies stabbing Christopher Jackson to death in September 2012.
At the time of his death, Christopher Jackson was living with his girlfriend Barbara Staunton at an apartment on Prussia Street, Dublin 7.
On September 6th over 3 years ago she claims he answered the door to two men, one of whom was looking for some drugs, before he fell back into the flat with a knife sticking out of his chest.
She said Anthony Locke’s brother Bernard then dragged him into the kitchen, before emerging a few minutes later to tell the accused to “finish him off", something he strongly denies doing.
Mr. Jackson’s body was wrapped in a duvet and covered in plastic bags when it was found in his wardrobe a few days later.
His girlfriend claimed she didn’t know it was there.
Following his arrest, Anthony Locke admitted moving the body but claimed his brother killed the 53-year-old, who was stabbed up to 70 times.
