The British Prime Minister has confirmed that the UK will take in up to 20,000 refugees in response to the migration crisis.
It follows France's announcement earlier that it will welcome 24,000.
Meanwhile, the Irish Refugee Council says housing people in disused army barracks is NOT a viable long-term solution to the current refugee crisis.
The Government is considering using Arbour Hill.
It comes as the Tanaiste says a figure of 5,000 refugees for Ireland is 'in the mix'.
