It looks like a work stoppage by train drivers on Friday morning will go ahead.
No DART, Commuter or Intercity services are expected to run between six and nine in the morning.
Talks are underway to try and avoid the action, but Dermot O'Leary of the NBRU says management aren't playing ball.
He said management are "not negotiating with us. That's the fact of the matter. We have got no progress here. This is day seven. The Minister has a decision to make on behalf of the travelling public."
"Some guidance needs to be given to those people, because if they don't negotiate with us unfortunately the trains will not be running on Friday morning", he warned.
However Ciaran Masterson from Irish Rail said he's hopeful a deal can be reached. He said "I've always been positive. I believe it's now time for the trade unions to take responsibility. We're here to do a deal."
Today is the 7th day of talks - which centre around issues of past productivity and pay for drivers.
