Irish Universities Owed Over 17 Million Euro In Fees

Irish universities are owed more than 17 million euro in tuition fees from students.

Figures released to the Irish Independent show that students are struggling to pay and colleges are finding it hard to collect fees owed.

The University of Limerick is owed the most at over 5.2 million euro, a debt built up over the last number of years.

NUI Galway is owed 4.1 million euro, 2.6 million is owed to Trinity College while UCC and UCD have failed to collect almost 1.9 and 1.3 million respectively.

DCU is owed the least at 591,000 euro.
